This is the creek the flows along the north side of town.
The river filled the valley and flooded anything in it's way.
Last spring (2011) had some of the same look, the river was high again.
The James River was still high in mid-June. Note: the Pelican. Okay, I'll post some closer pictures of it soon. This spring everything is dry so far and warming early as it seems but we will see how the weather holds out until the work of summer starts!! :-)
Through the heat, the cold, the good and the bad, the trials and the numberless blessings God has been good to us without a doubt. Through the wet and through the dry God has always met our needs, we have never gone without. What a wonderful God we serve. Oh, may I continue to cling to Him through it all. Looking at these older pictures of times past I am thankful for what God has brought me through and may God help me to continue to rely on him for everything. Don't let someone tell you wrong; God is the best friend that you will ever find in the world. Praise the Lord for what he has done for me.
Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord.
Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore.
From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord's name is to be praised.
The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.
Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high,
Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!
He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;
That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.
He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.
Psalm 113
What a wonderful God we serve indeed!
