Some Fun Experiences

We found a big turtle down by Cottonwood Creek that we walked to.

Then we saw a Mink heading up the hill; it turned back to the creek, swam across and headed south toward us. We were quiet hoping it would come closer for some good pictures. It swam by us down the creek and headed south.

So we went back and found the turtle had moved.

  Then here came two more Mink splashing down the creek not knowing we were there.

 They stopped and starred at us for a few seconds about 10 feet away.

They soon headed on south right by us. I think I almost could have caught it, it seemed so close. Crazy! Never been so close to one before, in fact, I have never seen then before or since.

So we shot some last pictures of the turtle and headed back to the pickup that was 1/2 mile away

As we walked back to the pickup we walked past the Badger den doorway we had seen while going down to the creek. Scary, but precious memories. Experiences? Yes, I had them that day. I will always hold them dear to me. I hope to maybe someday go back and see if the Mink are still there. Funny little things, they didn't seem very scared but they sure could run from you.
