Know ye that the Lord he is God...enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Psalm 100:3-4

This Is Why...

...I love the country :-) . . . and, a lot of other things; the animals, my family, the work and memories of it and our friends + much more...including the quiteness of the country, but I still miss home.

Through it all, God is still good.

One of My Favorite's

This is one of my favorite's lately; for some reason there are those that just stick out to me. This certain picture I like, but the beauty that morning was stunning. I love the quiet country life.

Captured Beauty!

Lately I have been getting some sunrise photos during or after chores since the sun is rising earlier; a little hard since I am sometimes busy, but I later enjoy the chance I take to get the pictures.

Iced Over!

We had a freezing rain that covered even the ground and made it sleek to walk on

Wire fence and trees were well covered with ice.

Starlet

It was Thursday, February the 7th when we went out for chores and found Starlet limping on her right front foot, so we contacted a farrier and he looked at it and said to put DMSO on it, since he was sure it was a strained tenden on the backside of the lower leg. Then it was a week on later on Thursday again while she was playing in the barn, she reared up and came down wrong on her same foot and cracked out the wall on the inside which wasn't really in good shape to start with. It worried us since we thought she must have reinjured her tenden, but when I picked it up it was bleeding. We had the farrier come out and look at it again, only this time it is the hoof; he hold us what to do, so since we had made the mistake of buying DMSO Furican which is an antibiotic and not the clear DMSO, he told us to put that down in the open crack and wrap it up. The cracked part needs to be cut off, so he said he would be back by since he didn't have his equipment along. We try to rewrap it once or twice a day to keep it dry. Her pulse was up around 60 which indicates a moderate pain level she was suffering. After a couple days it was coming down to around 45 which means she is doing better, and she isn't limping as bad either.
Here are a few pictures of how we wrap it up.
