Know ye that the Lord he is God...enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Psalm 100:3-4

Such Sweet Prayer Time

I often like to go out among the trees northwest of the house and enjoy time alone in prayer with the Lord, just spending time by myself away from the normal routine of things seems to help me spiritually. I took these pictures one evening while praying. It seems at times nothing is going well but I know one thing: that God is working all things out for His honour and glory, and really that's all that matters.

Pictures were taken on June 20th.

Evening came after chores and since it was the first day of summer I decided to take some pictures of the sunset since it probably was as far north as it would get this year. If I'm right, the first day of summer is the longest day of the year, so I just wanted a picture of the sunset that day since I probably won't get the same chance again. It was plain with no special clouds, but it seemed to mean everything to me. There was hardly the slightest breeze, neither was it hot. I wandered down the country road west just far enough to get the powerlines out of most of the pictures.

I picked this :)

The battery exhausted on me, so that was the end of taking pictures; so I slowly headed back to the ditch. I looked back a few times knowing that it was the end of another day. The sun never slows down, another day is coming and I must go on. As I looked back at town and saw the elevator I thought of Brandon, who lives with his family in town. It makes me smile to think that God wants to answer our prayers if we would only wait on Him.

Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, on the Lord.
Psalm 27:14
