It was the evening of August 19 last year when Daddy brought home this flatbed simi knowing that the next morning he had to go get hay. Well, you know...our yard is so small and the simi is no small thing, it took up almost the whole length of it along the east side. And...you know me :/ I was totally become by the thing; (Now don't ask me why I love big equipment, but I do) So anyway, next morning Daddy was up early to get there by 7 o'clock.
He was soon back with 24 of the 50 bales he had boughten for the winters supply of hay.
Daddy's Coming Home!
My brother unloading them and we all three were out and gone for the next load around 9 o'clock. Since the skidsteer isn't ours Daddy didn't want to drive it so we waited until Robert's wife, came and told us that he was out spraying so Daddy could just go ahead and load the hay.
So Daddy wasn't even half done when Robert stopped by to fill his sprayer and finished loading for Daddy.
We went back to the yard and my brother quickly unloaded the bales because the tractor's front tire was going flat. He could line the bales up later, Daddy just needed to take the simi back that day because he had borrowed it.
Yes...farm life requires work but I wouldn't want it any other way. I am happy with the wonderful memories and awesome family God has given me and to be able to live in the country. It is a wonderful experience and this is just some of one of the many days of life on the farm that keeps me going. God is so good!
